Mrs. Morenike Tejuade Babington-Ashaye, FCA, FCTI, is the Founder/President of the International Centre for Tax Research and Development. She is a chartered accountant, a specialist in taxation law, practice and administration, and also an educator. As a founding member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), she helped initiate the nation’s foremost professional association which promotes ethics and efficiency in tax practice and administration. She is also the Chairman/CEO of ACCERS - Accounting Education and Research Services, a company that has contributed in no small measure to tax development in Nigeria.

 

In 2003 she was appointed as Chairman of the Internal Revenue Service, Ogun State and her tenure was praised for boldness, originality and a high sense of responsibility. While in the service of the Ogun State Government, Mrs. Babington-Ashaye was a member of the Joint Tax Board of Nigeria. Between 1992 and 1997, Morenike was appointed by the Commonwealth Secretariat as a field expert. She worked as a Senior Lecturer in Accounting with the Institute of Finance Management, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania where she set-up an Accounting Laboratory to assist accounting students. She also organized two national workshops on Taxation matters.

 

Morenike Babington-Ashaye was born in May 1948 in Shagamu, Remo, Ogun State. She was a graduate of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in 1977 and trained with Coopers & Lybrand where she began her specialization in tax law and practice. She worked with the Federal Inland Revenue Department in 1982 - 1985, where she consummated her experience in tax administration. As an educator, she has led several national and regional workshops and seminars on accounting and taxation. Her work has made her an active partner to successive governments as she is able to convene stakeholders, practitioners, administrators and the general public to ensure that their perspectives inform changes in the tax policies and laws. She also held faculty position at the Lagos State Polytechnic, where she served as the Head of Department of Accountancy and Banking, and was a Principal Lecturer at Yaba College of Technology. She is also a public affairs commentator and had participated in many television programmes. She has received many awards to her credit.

I am a Nigerian Tax Lawyer with over 30 years post Bar call and core tax administration experience.

I am a council member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, presently working as a staff of the Federal Inland Revenue Service within the Directorate cadre.

An indigene of Ubiaja-- Ishan extraction of Edo state south-south, Nigeria who founded the MAHUEMOLEN ADUKE ODIBO FOUNDATION. The very first of such Foundations advocating against medical negligence in Nigeria.

Omobola Fashola is the Deputy General Manager of Lagos State Mortgage Board,  in charge of Operations Management. Established the LMB start up processes, policy design, training and staff development. Facilitated the advanced website design of the agency and monitoring. Train staff on Mortgage processes, underwriting standards, report writing and Customer Service delivery. In charge of the Mortgage process from Application to Mortgage servicing.  Member of Lagos Home Ownership Mortgage Scheme Committee chaired by His Excellency, the Governor of Lagos State, from 2012 to 2014.

 

As CEO of American Diversified Mortgage in Maryland, USA from 2004 to 2009, Omobola was effective and efficient while driving processes and revenue of the company.  She initiated policies to overcome business challenges while making high stake decisions within high pressure fast based environments.

 

Mrs Fashola is a high-performance business executive with advanced technology experience. Part of the start-up team of Engineers at Blackboard Inc, an Educational Software Company in Washington, DC from 2004 to 2009. Consistent success in maximizing corporate performance with numerous company awards.

Ade is the  CEO of AIA Professionals (a Multidisciplinary Financial Advisory Firm).

He is also the Head of Practice at Adesina Adedayo & Co. (Chartered Accountants), a Firm established by him in 2002 after 9 years with the firms of Adetona Isichei & Co.(Chartered Accountants) and Akintola Williams Deloitte(Chartered Accountants).

Ade currently serves as the Vice President of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and a Council Member of the Business Recovery and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria. Ade was a member of the Governing Board of Nigeria Accounting Standards Board (NASB), the predecessor Board of Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria between June 2009 to June 2011.

 Ade was also the Honorary Treasurer of West African Union of Tax Institutes from 2011 to 2019.Ade is  the President of The Economic Club of Maryland and  the Chartered Accountants Cooperative Multipurpose Society Ltd (A financial intermediation society of more than 150 Chartered Accountants).Ade is the Chairman  of the Board of WiseField (An Investment and Property Holding Company). Ade is a Rotarian (Rotary Club of Gbagada) and also a member of the IBB Golf and Country Club, Abuja.  Ade is  happily  married with children.

Omotayo Aiyegbajeje is an experience legal professional whose expertise span across several domain in law, she has expertise in Corporate Secretaryship, Title document registration and regularization, real estate verification and valuation, sales and management of properties, she is experienced as well in litigation, business law, compliance, risk advisory and business registration. She was called to the Nigerian Bar 2012, she is also a student of Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Arbitration of Nigeria and has since provide legal services to some top corporations raging from oil and Gas and banking sector, she use her personal time in volunteering at many non-profit organization and she is a two-time President of Youth Initiative for Positive.

Margaret is an alumna of the University of Lagos, Faculty of Law. As an undergraduate in UNILAG, she was a pioneer member of the Amnesty International Human Rights Clinic, University of Lagos chapter.

She was called to the Nigerian bar in 2019. She is also an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators of Nigeria and a Peace Advocate of the International Women Peace Group (IWPG).

She is currently working as an associate with a reputable firm in Ikeja GRA, Lagos state.

She is  passionate about helping disadvantaged people. When she is not working or learning to improve her skills, she enjoys cooking. She loves fashion designing, and sees a need for creativity in everything we do.
